About COPE

With 20 years experience, COPE has grown to become one of the UK's TOP 10 Occupational Health Services Providers helping to create healthy and profitable UK businesses.

Being a UK wide Occupational Health Service Provider we have sites across the UK with a strong presence in the key commercial zones of London, North East, North West, Midlands and Scotland.

COPE is well recognised within its field and we regularly provide expert advice to the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), Health and Safety Executive (HSE), journals and the media. We also have high profile associations with academic institutions, NGOs and government departments.

COPE holds the ISO 9001 quality management systems accreditation and is currently project managing the completion of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine's Occupational Health Service Standards for Accreditation in 2011.

All COPE staff are supported to achieve outstanding levels of professional expertise and customer service.

Established Since 1993

COPE is well respected in the industry. With over 60 staff, it is still privately owned and managed by its founding directors who are also specialists in the field of occupational health, physiotherapy and ergonomics. Additionally, all customer points of contact are with specialist professionals who understand your needs and enquiries from the outset.

Genuine Partnership

COPE specialises in developing a genuine partnership with its customers to establish and support the achievement of agreed goals through:

  • identifying the current issues and current situation
  • agreeing and setting goal(s) - such as reducing the total sickness absence percentage
  • recommending strategies to close gaps in order to achieve these goals
  • rigorously implementing, monitoring and improving them in liaison with the customer

Dedicated Contract Manager

Unless otherwise stipulated, customers are provided with a dedicated Occupational Health Contract Manager. He/she develops a detailed understanding of the customer operations and business objectives while maintaining strong, effective lines of communication between all key personnel.

Best Practice Advice Reports

COPE prides itself on its OH reports and the speed of delivery. They demonstrate best clinical practice, are clear to read and provide value by facilitating effective management of sickness absence cases in conjunction with our customers. Appropriate recommendations are made, wherever and whenever appropriate.

We take a risk-based approach to managing your Occupational Health

In other words, we don't just help you to manage your sickness absence cases. We also support you in tackling any underlying, long term, work related causes of sickness absence using an ergonomics risk-based approach to occupational health. In the long run, this will improve your organisation's effectiveness in providing services to its customers and bring about personnel efficiencies, which in turn save money.
