Pilot Study on Sickness Certification about to report back to Government

This government backed pilot study led by Dr Kneale, Occupational Health Physician with Warwick University researchers, is due to report to ministers this month (October 2006). Two different methods of managing absence were used; OHAs based at a call centre providing remote assessment and case management according to agreed protocols, and the same approach but with the facility to refer to an OHA/OHP.

A conference is being held in November in the East Midlands Conference Centre to debate the findings.
