Statement on Health, Safety and Environment
The Directors of COPE recognise their legal and moral responsibilities to ensure the
highest practicable level of health and safety of its employees in the workplace as well
as their legal and moral responsibilities on the environment.
A Health and Safety Policy is available to all employees via the Company Extranet.
Supporting the Policy are several Health and Safety procedural and advisory documents.
All are regularly reviewed and updated. The COPE Health and Safety Committee meets
periodically to monitor; accidents/incidents, any general H&S concerns, new health and
safety legislation or best practice guidance and to implement proactive Health and Safety
initiatives within COPE.
COPE’s environmental policy is based on a hierarchy of measures to eliminate, reduce,
reuse and recycle elements involved in the running of its business so that the use or
disposal of anything that may have a detrimental effect upon the environment is either
eliminated or substantially reduced.
We are determined to ensure that our approach to COPE’s environmental impact is continuously
reviewed and strengthened across the spectrum of our operations. Specifically, we will do this
by integrating good environmental and resource management into all aspects of our business and
by providing resources and expertise to make this a practical reality.
